Introduction

2.4. AdWeb follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. 2.5. AdWeb takes reasonable measures in compliance with the POPI Act to protect CLIENT data and maintain security but does not assume responsibility for any breaches due to CLIENT negligence or third-party interference.
2.6. The sources AdWeb obtains information from websites, social media (when information is shared/made public and required to create content / gather data), digital communication (not limited to chatbots, forms, and emails), phone, suppliers (not limited to hosting and 3rd party information suppliers), printed and posted public sources in the public domain.
2.7. AdWeb reserves the right to pursue legal action against any User / CLIENT who provides falsified/ misleading/ manipulated data or information for their own personal gain or interest.

3.1. The information we collect is used to perform the requested services. We do not distribute any personal information unless agreed upon by the CLIENT or required by law.
3.2. We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our website
- Improve, personalize, and expand our website
- Understand and analyse how you use our website
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website, and for marketing and promotional purposes

4.1. AdWeb collects and processes personal information after users have visited our website. 4.3. Like any other website, AdWeb uses “cookies”. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.
4.4. Note that AdWeb has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

- Data Retention
5.1. We retain user information for approximately 3 months after the termination or completion of services, after this period, all user data will be deleted from our systems. Upon the CLIENT’s reasonable request via email and in adherence to South African laws, we can remove the appropriate data.
5.2 While we retain this data, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and cannot guarantee absolute data security.
5.3. If you request your personal information be deleted, or if your personal information becomes no longer relevant to our operations, we will erase it from our system within a reasonable timeframe.
- Marketing Communications
6.1. AdWeb retains the right to send advertisement information pertaining to current and upcoming services unless otherwise specified by the CLIENT.
6.2. AdWeb retains the right to use the project for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified in the contract.
